This November 10th in Dubai the jury of the thirteenth edition of the Middle East Watch of the Year Awards held its award ceremony for its twelve prize categories. A jury of remarkable credibility as high-watchmaking specialists was represented by some of the greatest collectors, independent journalists and a representative of a prestigious auction house.

Nominated in six out of twelve categories, the House of BOVET 1822 was awarded the most honorable distinction by receiving the prize for Best Independent Watch Brand of the Year 2016. A prize even more rewarding than the six shortlisted timepieces. It is indeed the fruit of fifteen years of passion and efforts made by owner Pascal Raffy and all the artisans of the House to build this independence, which was greeted by the decision of the jury. Independence has been essential to guaranteeing the excellence that has defined BOVET timepieces since 1822. By integrating the manufacturing of cases, dials and all the movement components including balance-springs, the House succeeded in defining new references in terms of innovation, chronometry and decorative arts all while perpetuating the incomparable heritage of its know-how in the purest respect to artisanal high-watchmaking traditions.
