Presentation of the OTTANTASEI Tourbillon at the Pininfarina’s Design Studio in Cambiano, Italy
The latest emblematic addition to the BOVET 1822 by Pininfarina collection, the OTTANTASEI Flying Tourbillon, was presented Tuesday, May 24th at an international press conference held at the Pininfarina headquarters in Cambiano, Italy. This collaboration between two notable Houses was launched in 2010 with the OTTANTA® Tourbillon and the OTTANTASEI is now the sixth edition in this prestigious collection.
In this dream Italian setting, Pascal Raffy, owner of BOVET 1822 and DIMIER 1738, joined by Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of Pininfarina, hosted the most eminent representatives of the watchmaking, automotive and lifestyle press.
Triple patented and combining an avant-garde design with innovative technical feats, the Tourbillon OTTANTASEI amazed the audience of professionals that attended the event. It was also the opportunity to unite for the first time the entire BOVET 1822 by Pininfarina collection as well as the two cars designed by Pininfarina that have a direct link with the timepiece collection: The electric Cambiano concept car (which displays the Chronograph Cambiano in the car’s dashboard) and the famous SERGIO Ferrari that shares the same identity codes as the split second SERGIO chronograph.
At the end of the day, participants had the opportunity to follow hand-sketching classes and meet with the artisans from the two Houses. All of which transmitted the passion that gave rise to this new height of excellence created by the partnership between Pininfarina and BOVET 1822.
